When I approached the weekly R&D Meeting crew about a Halloween candy and beer pairing, I had no complaints. In fact, Mike Francis responded, “Beer and candy…sounds like the best R&D ever!”
We had a rather hands on approach to this pairing; there was little rhyme or reason behind our tasting. I gathered nine candy varieties and five beers to mix and match. Jumping between several different combinations, we all stumbled across our favorite combinations. Some seem obvious, others seem unlikely but all are delicious. So grab your favorite Payette beer, some Halloween candy and indulge until you’ve found your perfect combination!
