Earth Day, April 22, has been an annual celebration of environmental protection for the past 46 years. This Saturday, we will celebrate the 47th Earth Day.

On April 22, 1970, the Modern Environmental Movement was born. During this movement, “20 million Americans took to the streets, parks, and auditoriums to demonstrate for a healthy, sustainable environment in massive coast-to-coast rallies.” Today we celebrate Earth Day to bring to intention the impact that all of our actions have on the environment and on the earth as a whole.

How do we, as a brewery, contribute to sustainable efforts? We can our beer! Cans are more environmentally friendly. They are easier to recycle and require less packaging. Not to mention that canned beer is easy to take on your outdoor adventures such as rafting, camping, hiking and skiing. Growlers also help us stay sustainable! One 64oz growler fill a week replaces 277 12oz bottles a year.

Our Tap Room is closed this Saturday, April 22 for a private event, so be sure to come by the Tap Room on Friday to pick up a 6-pack or 12-pack of your favorite canned beer or bring your growler (or buy one from us!) for a fill before all of your weekend adventures. Happy Earth Day, friends!
