The ultimate stay-at-home Payette BREW TOUR
Right now, everyone is missing hanging out with friends at breweries and bars. We’ve noticed that some creative people are setting up “bar crawls” in their own homes and we want in on that fun! So, we’ve created a Payette Brewing Ale Trail that you can complete safely from your own home. Each of our beers is unique and that makes them perfect to pair up with a different setting in your house. Each day this week, we will post photos of our Founder, Mike Francis, completing a phase of our Ale Trail. We look forward to seeing your photos too!
Come by our curbside beer to-go trailer to pick up a mixed six-pack (while supplies last!) to get started on your Ale Trail adventure. Submit your Ale Trail photos by June 1st for your chance to WIN a $50 Payette gift card!
STOP #1: BACKYARD
activity: watch the clouds with your dog
BEER: recoil ipa
Bright IPA with a citrus kick of flavor. Light in body but BIG in aroma. Crisp, clean and couples well with nature. At first sniff then sip you will already be transformed to the deep woods on a summer night. Step outside or gaze out your window and take in the natural environment in your backyard. What shapes do you see in the clouds?
STOP #2: home gym
activity: take a free workout class
beer: urban surfer (low-cal) citrus wheat
Some people frown on bringing a beer with you to the gym. We don’t judge but rather encourage - especially at our home gyms. Our low-cal, low-ABV Wheat Ale is a guilt free way to still enjoy craft beer without the quarantine lbs we have all been gaining. Notes of citrus will keep you feeling refreshed. Recommendation: Put on those bright-colored spandex and start your aerobics class!
stop #3: living room
activity: netflix & drink
beer: sofa king sunny hazy pale ale
This may be the easiest part of the trail. Kick back on your couch and sip on our popular Hazy Pale Ale, that’s as binge worthy as Netflix. This stop only requires that you drink one beer, but you may want a couple more because no one can stop after just one episode.
stop #4: kitchen
activity: gather ‘round the stove
bEER: EMBERS RASPBERRY VANILLA PORTER
This Ale Trail is lit! Get warmed up with our Raspberry Vanilla Porter, which is best enjoyed next to campfire but for now your stove will do! Dark color and smoldering personality. A boldly brewed beer with smoky notes and sweet additions for a layered finish. To really get that camping vibe, break out the mallows and roast them on your stove top!
STOP #5: BATHROOM
activity: take a bubble bath (pfd optional)
bEER: NORTH FORK LAGER
Dreaming about loading up your cooler with crushable beers? This crisp, sessionable American Lager pairs well with just about anything. We appreciate it the most on the river, trying not to spill the liquid gold when hitting a rapid section. So suit up in your PFD, get in a bubble bath, and start getting your paddle arms ready for the white waters of your favorite river.
STOP #6: BEDROOM
activity: watch a horror film in bed
bEER: SLAUGHTERHOUSE INDIA RED ALE
If you are a True Crime junky, you will enjoy this stop. If you shutter and hide under the covers at the thought of it then hopefully the rest of the day’s beers have altered your scare-meter. To finish off the Ale Trail, hop into bed and press play on that movie or TV show (Dateline?) that will keep you on edge. The flavors in this Red Ale are as intense as a horror movie, and as satisfying as finishing the movie without covering your eyes.
